So, while the jury is still out on exactly why, the consensus is that regular breakfast eaters do tend to weigh less than the breakfast skippers. Part of the reason may lie in the fact that a breakfast containing high protein foods such as eggs help burn belly fat.
5. EATING BREAKFAST CAN HELP YOU STICK TO YOUR DIET PLAN
Another reason breakfast skippers tend to weigh more might be as simple as overeating the rest of the day. We may think we are winning the diet war by eliminating breakfast, but the reality is that people who don’t eat breakfast often simply end up eating MORE calories to make up for it. Conversely, people who eat a small, nutrient and fiber dense breakfast are more likely to take in fewer calories in subsequent meals because they are simply not as hungry as their breakfast skipping friends.
6. SKIPPING BREAKFAST TURNS YOU INTO A CRANKY TODDLER
Even if weight loss is not on the agenda – nobody likes being around a grumpy partner or co-worker. Most of us are familiar with the fussy crankiness of a toddler past his or her mealtime. In some respects we’re all big children – we get just as irritable when we’re hungry. And skipping breakfast is a good way to make sure that we end up as cranky as any two year old.
